I grew up in Dresden and still live there. It is a nice little town, more like a village, but with many opportunities. It is only an hour away from Saxony and Switzerland, where we sometimes go walking. I'm glad not to be living in a big city like Berlin.

Since the first time I went to Norway I fell in love with it. In the summer of 1996 my family started visiting Norway and then we went every year until 2002. I've been in the German Alps too, hiking with my dad years ago, but it's much too accessible to tourists for me.

I associate most of these photographs with moods, sounds, smells and feelings. I spent six days walking alone into the mountains in all kinds of weather. It was very impressive to me. Especially in the evening twilight hours, the atmosphere was magnificent. I have to do this again, next year hopefully.
